The wonderful Shirley Knight deserves far, far better than this "hey kids, let's put on a show" home movie. Tom Skerritt is also poorly served. The "acting" from the rest of the cast -- along with the writing, directing, camera work, even sound -- is woefully, painfully bush league. I saw this at a preview screening in Oregon, and couldn't wait to bolt out of there as soon as it was over.

How wonderful to see a strong, feisty, independent woman in a leading role! Shirley Knight's portrayal of Marie is warm, moving, and unforgettable. Take your Mom to see this movie.
